Catholic or Calvinist?

So you thought you were an Anglo-Catholic, Anglican Catholic, Catholic Anglican, catholic in the C of E or just Catholic. Are you sure? Are you really sure? Are you sure you're not....

a Calvinist

Put your mind at rest and take the Calvinist Test

(from Trouw newspaper via Faith Central)

I get 50% in the Calvinist Test so it could be worse, but then it could be better too. Amusingly the final question asks if you could have done anything better with the last five minutes than filling in the quiz. I gave the sensible Calvinist answer of 'Yes'.

  2. Lost me on the first question. Rationality in argumentation was instilled in Calvin through his legal training but to say that it is traced to him is ridiculous! If it is traced to any one individual of that period, it would have to be Eramus. : )

  3. This is a very silly test, one that confuses later Calvanist thinkers with Calvin (or worse - 19th and 20th century kill joys for him and the Puritans). For example, Calvin like drinking - but just didn't pack it away like Luther ...
